ImageCrooke Methodist Church is situated in the village of Crooke near Wigan. It has been a place of worship serving the local community for almost a century and a half - serving faithfully the needs of local people.

In todays climate of declining church congregations, it has a regular attendance of approximately 90 - with a membership in the region of 40. Well supported by the residents of the village - fetes, jumble sales and other functions are very well attended.

Worship is of a traditional style - services being conducted by lay preachers, with a visit monthly by the minister, where communion is observed. Up until quite recently the church had a thriving Sunday school, though recently this has declined, due to the young people growing up.

Crooke is a happy church where members and visitors alike can find eace, a time to reflect and give thanks to God. New visitors will be assured a warm welcome.

Seating approximately 80 people. the Church occupies a prominent position in the village. At the rear is a new church hall quite large enough for wedding receptions, childrens parties, which can be hired on an hourly, or daily basis.

As part of the Church outreach, it maintains good relations with the village nursery - a private infant nursery, which occupies the village school situated next to the Church.
