Goose Green is a traditional Methodist Church building that is laocated in the heart of the community it serves. It is set back from the A49, Warrington Road. The community of Goose Green consists of new and old housing and our Church is set amongst them on Sefton Road.
It is a welcoming and extremely friendly Church community where the members of the congregation care for each other pastorally and, as an expression of their faith, they care for those with whom they live and work.
Though Goose Green is a traditional Methodist Church it is also open to new ideas and differnt styles of worship. It has a thriving and growing Sunday School with an enthusiastic staff and children ranging from babies to early teens; we share their enthusiasm in All Age Worship on a regular basis.
Goose Green has a Christian parents and toddlers group 'Little Lights' which meets on a Friday afternoon at 12.45pm. Here approximately 20 parents and children meet to play, in a safe loving and Christian enviroment. Within the work with children we are praying about the formation of a new Crusaders group on a Thursday evening for boys and girls between 7 and 11years old.
The Women's Guild meets fortnightly and shares in a variety of events and speakers both Christian and secular, they are a very welcoming and loving group.
Goose Green holds a family weekend each year, this is attended by approximately 60 people who share fun, laughter and friendship together
