Shevington Methodist Church

The Church is situated in the centre of Shevington. The building is modern, with a worship centre, a comfortable lounge, kitchen with an open area to enjoy coffee and a chat and another room for meetings. The Church is used by many organisations in the community, e.g. keep fit, Women's Institute, Slimmers, Geographical Society.

The Church is open to everyone and the welcome is genuine and friendly. Music, drama and power point presentations are used in worship. The Church is attractive with banners and posters - there is also a Christian book stall. Each week there is a Bible Study and Prayer group, an informal monthly meeting with a variety of speakers and discussions on the problems of the World.

Social activities include a weekly tea dance and dominoes and a memories group. There is also a weekly coffee morning, which has stalls once a month. We are also a Fair Trade Church. A Mothers and Toddlers group meet in term time.

Once a month the Rock Bus comes to the Church for outreach to young people.
